Weight Loss Program

Lose Weight with the Doctor Who Actually Knows You

A medically supervised weight-loss program led by your Solix Health primary care provider — not a random clinician on a 7-minute video call. Your initial consultation is in-office at our Edison, Toms River, or Bridgewater locations, with monthly follow-ups your choice: in-person or telehealth.

For adults 18+ in New Jersey. Initial visit in-office. $100 today + $100/month, 3-month minimum.

Your real PCP

The same physician who manages your blood pressure, diabetes, and annual physicals also manages your weight loss. No handoffs, no “please ask your PCP” loops.

In-person when it matters

Your first visit is always in-office — vitals, exam, real conversation. After that, every monthly check-in is your choice: in-office or telehealth.

One integrated chart

Your full medical history, labs, allergies, and other prescriptions live in one record. Your provider sees everything when adjusting your plan — not just a checkbox form.

Three New Jersey offices

Edison, Toms River, and Bridgewater. Same providers. Same record. Pick whichever office is most convenient for each visit.

Two Ways to Start

Whether you’re already part of the Solix family or this is your first visit, we’ll get you set up the same week.

Already a Solix patient?

Fast-track enrollment

Your provider already has your chart, your meds, and your history. Skip the intake forms — we just need 30 minutes in the office to discuss your goals, review labs, and start your plan.

  • Same provider you already see
  • No new intake paperwork
  • Schedule your in-office visit within the week
  • Often the same day if your PCP has an opening

New to Solix?

Establish care & enroll together

Your initial consultation also serves as your new-patient visit. You’ll meet a New Jersey–licensed primary care provider who becomes your real PCP — not a one-off telehealth doctor you’ll never see again.

  • One visit, two purposes: weight-loss kickoff + new-patient establishment
  • Bring photo ID, insurance card (for any covered labs/meds), and a list of current medications
  • Choose any of our three New Jersey offices
  • Your weight-loss provider becomes your ongoing PCP for everything else, too

Solix vs. Telehealth-Only Weight-Loss Programs

Most online weight-loss programs are a stranger, a video call, and a prescription pad. We think your weight loss deserves more than that.

Solix Health Typical Telehealth-Only Programs
Who is your provider? Your actual primary care physician — the same doctor who treats everything else A clinician you’ve never met, often a different one each visit
Initial consultation In-office with vitals, hands-on exam, and real conversation Video call only, sometimes just an asynchronous form
Follow-up visits Your choice — in-office or telehealth, every month Telehealth only, often async messaging
Medical chart Integrated with your full medical history, labs, and other prescriptions Standalone weight-loss record — doesn’t see the rest of your health
Lab work Ordered, reviewed, and explained by your PCP at every visit Often skipped, or basic panels you interpret alone
Coordination with other meds Your provider sees all your prescriptions and adjusts safely They don’t know what else you’re taking
After you reach your goal Same provider continues your long-term primary care Usually hands you back to a PCP they’ve never spoken to
Side effects or red-flag symptoms Walk into one of our three offices — same day if needed Wait for a video slot or send a message
Monthly cost (program fee) $100/month $200–$400/month is common

Comparison reflects industry-typical telehealth-only weight-loss programs. Specific competitor offerings vary.

How Our Program Works

  • 1

    Enroll Online & Schedule

Click Enroll, agree to the terms, and pay your $100 initial consultation fee. We’ll reach out within one business day to schedule your in-office visit at the Solix Health office of your choice.

  • 2

    In-Office Initial Consultation In-person required

Meet with your Solix Health primary care provider in person at our Edison, Toms River, or Bridgewater office. Your provider takes vitals, performs a focused exam, reviews your full medical history, orders labs, and discusses whether a GLP-1 medication or another approach is right for you.

  • 3

    Personalized Treatment Plan

You leave the visit with a clear plan: dietary guidance, activity recommendations, behavioral strategies, and (when clinically appropriate) a prescription routed to the pharmacy of your choice.

  • 4

Monthly Follow-Ups In-office or telehealth — your choice

Each month, check in with the same provider to track progress, manage side effects, adjust dosing, and refill prescriptions. Visit our office or video-chat from home — whatever works for you that month.

  • 5

    Long-Term Care That Continues

When you reach your goal, your provider doesn’t disappear. They remain your primary care physician for everything else — annual physicals, blood pressure, lab follow-ups — for years to come.

What’s Included

  • One in-office initial consultation with a NJ–licensed primary care provider
  • Comprehensive medical evaluation, vitals, and physical exam
  • Lab orders and review (lab fees billed separately by the lab)
  • Individualized nutrition and meal-planning guidance
  • Exercise and physical-activity recommendations
  • Behavioral health support and counseling
  • GLP-1 medication management when clinically appropriate (medication purchased separately at a pharmacy)
  • Monthly follow-up visits, in-office or telehealth at your choice
  • Same-day or same-week in-office availability if you have side effects or concerns
  • Secure messaging with your care team between visits

What’s Not Included

The program fee does not include the cost of medications. If your provider prescribes a GLP-1 (such as semaglutide or tirzepatide) or any other medication, you are responsible for purchasing it directly from the pharmacy. Medication pricing varies by pharmacy, dose, and whether you use a compounded or brand-name product.

Lab work ordered as part of your care is billed separately by the laboratory or your insurance.

Who Is This Program For?

Adults 18 or older who live in New Jersey and want a medically guided approach to weight management with a real, ongoing physician relationship. The program is particularly valuable if you have weight-related conditions such as type 2 diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, fatty-liver disease, or joint pain — conditions that benefit enormously from a single physician quarterbacking everything.

Clinical eligibility for any specific medication is determined solely by your treating provider during your in-office consultation.

Important Safety Information

GLP-1 medications carry an FDA boxed warning regarding the risk of thyroid C-cell tumors. They are contraindicated in patients with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2), and are not recommended during pregnancy. Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, and abdominal pain. Serious side effects can include pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, kidney problems, and severe allergic reactions.

You will review the full risks during your in-office consultation and as part of the Patient Informed Consent & Waiver, which you must sign before any prescription is issued.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to come in to the office?

Yes — for the initial consultation only. We require your first visit to be in-person at our Edison, Toms River, or Bridgewater office so your provider can take vitals, perform a focused exam, and have a real conversation with you. After that first visit, every monthly follow-up is your choice: come back to the office or do it via secure video call from home.

I’m not currently a Solix patient. Can I still enroll?

Yes. New patients are welcome. Your initial in-office consultation also serves as your new-patient visit, and the provider who manages your weight loss becomes your ongoing primary care physician for everything else, too.

Can I keep my existing PCP outside of Solix and still do the program?

The program is structured around having your Solix provider as your PCP, because the integration of your weight-loss care with your full medical record is the whole point. If you have an existing PCP elsewhere, you’re welcome to continue seeing them too — many patients do during a transition — but the prescribing and monitoring for the program will be handled by your Solix provider, who will need to be aware of all your other prescriptions for safety.

What does the $100/month actually pay for?

It covers your monthly follow-up visit (in-office or telehealth, your call), prescription management and refills, secure messaging with the care team, and progress monitoring. It does not cover the medication itself or any lab fees.

How much does the medication cost?

Medication pricing depends on the drug, dose, and pharmacy. Compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide typically ranges from approximately $200 to $500 per month at partnered pharmacies. Brand-name Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, or Zepbound can range from approximately $900 to $1,400 per month without insurance. Your provider will discuss options at your in-office consultation.

What happens if I have side effects between visits?

This is one of the biggest advantages of choosing us. You can walk into any of our three offices — often the same day — if you’re experiencing concerning side effects, instead of waiting days for a telehealth slot. You can also message us through the patient portal or call any office directly.

Can I cancel any time?

You may cancel future monthly billing at any time, but you have agreed to a 3-month minimum commitment in addition to the initial consultation fee. If you cancel before the third monthly charge, the remaining amount of the 3-month minimum will be billed in a single final charge to your card on file. After the 3rd monthly payment, cancellation stops all future charges.

Do you accept insurance?

The $100 program fee is a self-pay membership and is not billed to insurance. Some prescribed medications and lab tests may be covered by your insurance separately — we’ll help you figure that out at your visit.

What if I don’t qualify for medication?

Medication is one tool, not the whole program. If your provider determines a GLP-1 isn’t clinically appropriate for you, you’ll still receive the full benefit of medical evaluation, nutrition guidance, behavioral support, and monthly monitoring under your monthly fee.
